Most people know Rémi because of his Instagram, but few people know the dog mama behind his account. Of course, I’m not offended by this because I love that people love Rémi just as much as I do. For those who don’t know me, my name is Kylie and I am completely obsessed with my dog (no shame here!). I am from a small fishing community in Nova Scotia, Canada and come from a long line of fishermen.
I am a teacher, currently teaching music to students from grades primary to nine. For those who know me, this is probably not a big surprise since music is, and has always been, a huge part of my life. It has been a great learning experience so far, with lots of laughs (and cries haha), and I can honestly say that I love my job. I graduated from university last year and this is my first year teaching full time. I am bilingual, speaking both English and French, and I work at a French school.
I grew up around dogs, all of different breeds (mixes and purebred). Obviously Rémi is not my first dog, however, he is the first dog that I’ve owned since I’ve been living on my own away from my parents. He is from a breeder, but I fully support adopting too!
Rémi and I work on training daily. A few short sessions a day are what work best for us. Because of his breed, he is extremely intelligent. He catches on quickly to everything he is taught and was basically already house trained when we got him. He is not crate trained, but has never touched or ruined anything in our house. We got pretty lucky with him!
